Prime Time (2-1) vs Queens “QD” Diesel (1-2)
So this is an interesting matchup. Queens “QD” Diesel is coming off a big win over Floral Park (0-3). Prime Time is coming off an even bigger win over Cobra Kai (2-1). Both teams are on a high going into this week‘s matchup. QD had an easy time with an undermanned Floral Park last week while Prime Time squeaked out a victory in the final minute with an extra point against Cobra Kai. Prime Time will have to score points again against a pretty stout QD defense, QD will need to keep up with the speed of Prime Time and extend possessions to try to pull an upset. We think QD has enough to pull an upset here, however, Prime Time may have too much speed and too much talent to relinquish the W.
If QD wants to win, QB Joe Ponte must be accurate and score on most of his possessions. The defense needs to prevent the long play and grab flags to minimize the YAC. If Prime Time wants to win, they will need to get behind QD safeties and QB Waqas Khatri will need to get the ball out there for his receivers to run under. The defense will have to try and bait QB Joe Ponte into some turnovers and use that speed to stick to the QD receivers.
We have this game very close, and I would not be surprised if QD pulls off the upset, however, I think Prime Time just has too much around QB Waqas to falter here.
