CK vs Gators
CK barely beat the Elites last week. This is a game the Elites should’ve won. This really speaks to the grit of CK. They’ve been down in a few games and they don’t give up. This is a sign of strong leadership and resiliency. They’re ranked 3rd overall with a very consistent offense. They don’t make many mistakes and they have a smart QB. At the same, they haven’t really been tested. Prime Time is a quality opponent. And although the score to that game was close, CK was down by more than 2 scores and almost made a comeback. CK will play a very good Gators team next week.
Gators blew out the Renegades. It was a back and forth game in the first half and then the Gators completely took over the game and didn’t allow a td score in the 2nd half. The Gators are a quality team as we all know. This team can turn on the proverbial switch whenever they want because they have the talent to do so. They also have quality talent in all facets of the game – Offense, Defense, leadership.
QB Matchup
QB Dean has been very impressive this season. He has 12 touchdowns vs 4 picks. Yash and Fabio combined have 18 touchdowns and 4 picks. These QBs are some of the most consistent and smartest QBs in the league. We have to give an edge to Dean since he throws a better deep ball. Edge = Gators
Offense
The Gators are the 2nd best offensive team while CK is ranked 4th. The Gators have better talent and have a very difficult cover in Shady. No one on CK will be able to contain him and he easily breaks down zone defenses. The Gators are excellent in breaking down zone coverage. CK has good route runners and play designs. They’re just missing that one game breaking player. Edge = Gators
Defense
CK has only given up 72 points. To be fair, they played a bad Thunder and Savages team, However, they play a pretty good zone defense. The Gators are ranked towards the bottom of the league on defense, but their defense can clamp down when necessary. At the moment, we’re taking CK. Edge = CK
Matchup
As we mentioned before, this is a big test for CK. If they can stay competitive against CK, then this team is legit. The jury is still out on them given their easy schedule. Now they’re going through one of the more difficult stretches. This team has talked a lot during the offseason, but they’re able to back it up. The Gators also want to prove that they’re one of the better teams in the league. They’ll have a good test against CK. We don’t think CK is ready yet for the Gators.

PrimeTime vs Renegades
Primetime defeated the Thunder 26-14. They continue to display impressive defense with solid QB play. This team has far exceeded our expectations. They’re have playmakers on both sides of the ball and they don’t make any mistakes. That’s a recipe for sustained success. This team plays well for Waqas and responds to any challenges he throws at them. They’re well balanced and look for them to make a lot of noise moving forward. This team could legit upset anyone in the league
The Renegades continue to struggle and find an offensive rhythm. They drop a lot of passes, run poor routes and just don’t stack up with other teams talent-wise. The only player that gives them an ample shot of winning is Anwar. They’re currently the 3rd worst scoring team and worst defensive team in the league. It’s evident they’re missing speed and playmakers on the field. This team is proof that you can’t just win with a great QB and nothing else around him. Anwar is in unfamiliar territory. He’s a winning player and an All star. We’ve seen how patient he is through out the year, but will his patience run out? Obviously the split from the Savages experiment hasn’t gone well for both teams. Can the Renegades win more than 3 games this season?
QB Matchup
PrimeTime QB Marvin had a terrific season. He’s up for rookie of the year award and his team is 3-1. Anwar only has 9 touchdowns this season with 5 picks. Some of the picks aren’t his fault. However, we expected much better numbers from him. Historically speaking, Anwar has been a great QB for this league. Unfortunately, Marvin is having a much better season. Edge = PrimeTime
Offense
The Renegades are a bad offense. Sometimes they appear like they’re running on a muddy field. Receivers struggle to get open and Anwar has little to no chemistry with anyone on the field. Primetime is one of the more consistent offenses in the league. Edge = PrimeTime
Defense
Renegades are the worst defense in the league. They don’t have much speed and their defensive IQ needs work. Primetime is the 3rd best defense in the league. Edge = Primetime
Matchup
This has the makings of another blowout. It’s not a good matchup for the Renegades. Primetime is faster, more athletic and have much better talent across the board. The Renegades looked pretty good last week against the Gators in the first half, but they were obliterated in the 2nd half. Anwar and the Renegade defense need to play out of their minds to win this game. We don’t see it happening.

AK vs Bandits
AK continue to dominate the league. They defeated the Browns in a classic game. AK has owned the Browns in the regular season. In fact, they’ve owned everyone. They will likely go undefeated the rest of the way and may be the only team in league history to have an undefeated championship season. Richie and Kenny were the difference makers in this game. This team has the talent to win a championship every season. For some reason, the Browns get into their heads in the playoffs. We have a feeling we will see these 2 teams in the finals again.
The Bandits suffered their first loss of the season against the lowly Savages. Bandits were missing 75% of their talent and they just didn’t have enough firepower to compete in this game. They did put up a pretty good fight so we gotta give them a ton of credit. Their starters on offense and defense are arguably the best in the league. When a team is missing that kind of talent in a game, it usually results in a loss. The Bandits chose a bad time to lose. The Bandits have AK and the Browns in back to back weeks.
QB Matchup
Jay has been solid as the Bandits QB. He doesn’t have the biggest arm and doesn’t have the best zip on the ball, but he wins. Sims is a great QB with ridiculous stats. Edge= AK
Offense
AK is the 3rd best scoring team in the league while the Bandits are ranked 7th. Both teams have playmakers, speed and athleticism. AK is slightly more talented. Edge = AK
Defense
The Bandits are the best defensive team in the league. At the same time, they’ve played some bad teams to start the season. Can we trust their defense against AK? Surprisingly, AK has the 5th best defense. This team is usually ranked in the top 3. Right now, the Bandits are playing defense at a very high level. Edge = Bandits
Matchup
Historically, the Bandits have played AK very well. They came so close last year to ousting AK out of the playoffs. The Bandits have a good plan in place against AK. The only concern we have with the Bandits is attendance. Will they have their full team? AK takes the Bandits very seriously. Sometimes we see AK undermining teams and joke around too often on the field where they practically dismiss the opponent. The Bandits don’t fear AK and they know how to beat man defense. AK is on a roll right now and we don’t expect them to lose here.

Savages vs Browns
The Savages notched their 1st win of the season against a depleted Bandits team. This was a must win game for them and they didn’t disappoint. The Savages athleticism was just too much for the Bandits in this game. Can the Savages build off this victory? They have a very difficult matchup against the Browns. QB Tom has been ok. He’s thrown way too many picks. This is an area that the Savages have to clean up. They’re a turnover waiting to happen. This spells doom for them against the best offense in the league.
The Browns have now lost 2 out of their last 3 games. We all know we shouldn’t really bet against the Browns in the post season, but during the regular season, they can play like an average team. When you’re a multi-champion in the league, you can cruise through the regular season and then turn it up in the playoffs when necessary. Shu ofcourse is playing at an MVP caliber level, but he’s proned to throwing picks this season. He already has 5. Sometimes the Browns seem bored and disinterested in games. They also don’t care about rankings. Right now, they’re just cruising through this season without a care in the world.
QB Matchup
This is a no brainer. Shu is an all time QB and Tom throws too many picks. Edge = Browns
Offense
The Browns are the best offense in the league. The Savages are middle of the pack. Both teams have very good athletes. The Savages have a little bit more speed, but the Browns have excellent plays in their playbook. Edge = Browns
Defense
Surprisingly, the Browns are ranked 4th in the league. The Savages are the 3rd worst defense in the league. Edge = Browns
Matchup
The Savages notched one of the few wins we expect them to earn all season. This is a nightmare matchup against a superior opponent. We can’t remember the last time the Browns lost 2 games in a row. Can we please see a Sohel at QB sighting???

Elites vs Thunder
The Elites lost a heartbreaking game against CK. This is a game they should’ve won and it’s a game they can not lose. They were up with minutes to go in the game and they gave the game away to CK. This team is extremely underwhelming. They hyped themselves up all offseason and we didn’t buy into it. They added 3 very good players during the off season and they appear to be hindered by poor QB play. Let’s face it, a team can have all the talent in the world, but when there’s no QB, the team is screwed! Perfect example is the Thunder. The Elites are almost an exact carbon copy of the Thunder. There’s a ton of talent on both rosters, but no great QB. Th Elites have got to figure out this QB scenario or they’re staring at the 10th seed which is an automatic disqualification of playoffs! Can you imagine if that happened to the Elites..? Ouch!
Although the Thunder lost against a good Primetime team, they played a lot better than they have in recent weeks. Their QB Jawid finally returned and the team looked much more organized on offense. We’ve seen Jawid play in the past, and he was decent at best for this team. However, a QB is a QB and he’s the best they’ve got. Their defense has given up the 2nd most points in the league, but they’re not very far from being an average defense statistically. The one hope this team has, Jawid, is finally back. Can this team come together and play up to their potential?
QB Matchup
Hey Elites…you need to look for another QB! The Mike Chu experiment is over. You actually have a decent QB on your team and you refuse to use him. We expect Anas to start this game as their QB. Jawid appeared to be a bit rusty last week, but he was able to drive the team up and down the field. Although they didn’t score much, they were able to successfully move the ball. Edge = Thunder
Offense
Both offenses are putrid. In fact, the Thunder and Elites are the worst offensive teams in the league. It’s a shame that they have all that underutilized talent. Edge = tie
Defense
The Elites are the 4th worst defense and the Thunder as the 2nd worst defense. The Elites have Rob and DJ as game breaking defensive players. The Thunder have solid defenders, but don’t play well as a team. Edge = Elites
Matchup
This is going to be a high scoring game with a lot of turnovers. Both teams are absolutely desperate for a win. We believe the team that wins this game will end up avoiding that awful 10th seed. We still think that the QB problem will haunt the Elites in this game. Look for Jawid to have a breakout game!
