With the advent of Division 2 in the SAFL, all the teams performed extremely well in Week 1. It was difficult to get a gauge on the teams for pre-season rankings but after Week 1, we saw some highlights as well as some lowlights. The Long Island Titans take the top spot this week after a brilliant Week 1 performance against the Sleepers. Although the Sleepers are in the fourth spot, they are no slouches. They also put on a magnificent performance and we predict they will be moving up very soon. The Browns played a great game against Suicide Squad establishing themselves as one of the top teams in the division while Suicide Squad drops to the fifth spot. Balls Deep came up with a win even while a little shorthanded. Balls Deep is a completely new team so getting a win in Week 1 really sets the tone for this squad. Thunder had some issues getting things going but with good leadership and a few key roster additions, Thunder can reestablish itself as a prominent Division 2 team.
