Cobra Kai (3-1) vs. Queens “QD” Diesel (2-2)
The first game this week will have the newly #1 ranked Cobra Kai team take on a hot Queens “QD” Diesel team coming off a whooping of Prime Time (2-2). Cobra Kai showed they belong by beating AK Sanatali (3-1) last week and taking over the top spot in the rankings. Queens “QD” Diesel is now on a two-game winning streak and looks to make that three against friendly foes this week. These two teams know each other VERY well. This game should be close and we would not be shocked if “QD” pulled off the upset here.
If Cobra Kai wants to win, they will need to continue scoring and making offensive plays that can wow you. The defense also stepped up last week and this team cannot be beaten if the defense can consistently give up under 30 points. They will need that formula again this week to beat QD.
If “QD” wants to win, they need to try to slow down that offense. They have had the best Points Against (PA) so far. They need to keep Cobra Kai to 35 points or less to get the upset here. The offense, led by QB Joe Ponte, needs to be patient and see if the Cobra Kai defense was a fluke last week or if they are finally
turning the corner. They can’t afford to have this game be a shootout vs Cobra Kai. They need to make stops and the offense has to control the clock and have ball control.
Who do we like? If QB Yash Tehrani is able to play after an injury scare last week and his usual weapons are there we like Cobra Kai in a very very close game.
