Browns (2-0) vs Long Island Titans (3-0)
This will be one of two premiere matchups this week in Division 2. Probably the best two teams in Division 2 (with the Sleepers right there too). The key to this game will be who makes fewer mistakes. Most teams find it hard to make stops and we feel that turnovers will be monumental in determining the winner of this game. QB Sohel Vaid of the Browns and QB Soafhan Hassan from the Long Island Titans must protect the ball at all costs because one mistake can lead to takeaways to the house.
The offenses can score here and this game will not be a defensive battle. It may come down to an extra point or two in the end. If the Browns want to win they need to utilize their experience and talent starting with Rob Jones and then sprinkle in some of the new talents, especially Kapil Mahmud who has instantly put himself in the conversation for Rookie of the Year along with Isaiah Woodard from the Long Island Titans. These two facing off against one another will be a battle of the ages, we are excited to see it! If the Titans want to win they need to use their youth and athletic supremacy to stifle the veteran Browns team. It very well may come down to the play at the giver position. To be frank, Omar Khan from the Browns has been one of the best givers in SAFL history and has been involved with key plays for the Browns in the past.
It will be close but we will go with experience here.
