Thunder (0-2) vs Suicide Squad (0-2)
Probably the 2 biggest disappointments thus far here in division 2. Both teams were expected to compete and not share the bottom of the standings, especially this early on. We see experience on both sides of the ball but struggling QB play has put these teams at 0-2 and at the bottom of the barrel, yikes. Adam, of Thunder, needs to utilize more of his established weapons on offense, including Curtis, Q, and Afnan but sporadic experience on QB play has this team reeling as of right now. Falling behind early has hurt this team as they haven’t been able to rebound but word has it that a promising QB might be coming in within a week or two. For the sake of this team, we hope it’s sooner rather than later.
The Suicide Squad has to stop turning the ball over. 5 ints last week by the QB won’t put this team in a position to win any games this year. For the amount of experience that this team has it is quite shocking that they are in this position. Athletically, The Suicide Squad has top talent in that regard but with new pieces trying to fit together there will be some growing pains. The veterans on this team need to step up and guide some of the younger guys the rest of the way. We’ve seen some pretty spectacular things happen with this team in the past and they never quite come out the gate strong but as the old saying goes it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish. Protect the ball and good things will happen. This week they both need a win or they will be alone at the bottom of the standings. The team that turns the ball over less will win.
